Dunno why Wiki says this was the largest horse ever, because there was a well-known shire called Sampson (later renamed Mammoth) who was 21.2 hands and weighed over 3,300 lbs, i.e. he was even bigger than Brookie. Shame there aren’t any photos (to my knowledge) of Sampson.
nice sentiment, but not quite: the first science fiction story was a good couple hundred years before mary shelley was even alive. google ‘somnium’ by johannes kepler: it’s a story about a journey to the moon and was written around 1620.
